Movies Traffic Outside of the socialistic, crackhead anthem in the middle of the movie, Traffic is worth the money. (no, most of us would still go to law school even if we could make $500 a day on the corner.) The scenes were quick and the plot easy to understand. My only question is: do children of prominince really get that out-of-control and would the average Mom and Dad handle a drug addicted kid in that manner? Most dads, I'm sure would not have quit their jobs just because the kids were a little wild. That situation could have been handled. I'm also sure Mom would not have ignored the problem in lieu of her own activities. In all, Traffic is a movie about our war on drugs and how hopeless our soliders fighting that war can feel at times. From the drug broker to the street-level dealer to the politician who has his hands tied by special interest groups, Traffic is a well balanced movie that I urge you to see. And the acting is great. | |

Movie Eighteen Months Based on the book, The Middleman, Eighteen Months finds our characters in the middle of an action packed ride for their lives, racing to clear the names of two small children. Mc, Lois and G-Man have to battle a crazed ex-cop who is gunning for G-Man, a street hustler making money on any smuggling operation he can. Music Stankonia Outkast A group known for it's on-stage antics and costumes have at least two stand out songs that get regular airplay. "Ms. Jackson," and "Bombs Over Baghdad," are uptempo, message driven songs anyone can related to. Other songs on the 24 track CD won't make you want to hit the skip button on the remote. More than a few songs feature a zany intro like the women discussing how to treat a man. PICS GALORE |
